DP83869HM: PHY Link is not up

Dear Sir,

I am using DP83869HM PHY IC in one of our custom design board. In which PHY is configured for Copper to Media Converter mode & 10/100MBps Auto negotiation speed.When I connect the copper port with my PC, Link is not up. What could be an issue?

I have checked the following and found okay.

Core & IO supply
25MHz Clock at XI & XO pin
Clock at Clock out pin
Strap Configuration

I appreciate to your suggestion.

Dear Sir,

To configure the PHY in Auto negotiation mode, LED_1 and LED_2 strap pins are connected with GND as shown in below figure to make strap value as '0 0' at

power.up. In this configuration PHY Link is not up.

As these pins have internal week pull down, R41, R42 are removed and tested again found PHY link is got up.

Shall I know Why PHY link is not up in the above configuration?

Kindly look at the following registers for the status of phy (after boot-up) : reg<x6E>. This will help you know which strap mode phy has boot up.
