TUSB1064: DisplayPort Main Link Inter-Pair Length Matching

Dear TI,

I am using the TUSB1064 for a USB Type-C DisplayPort alternate mode sink application. Do the DisplayPort main link differential pairs need to be length-matched to each other before connecting to the TUSB1064? Do they need to be length-matched after the TUSB1064?

Hi Marcis,

You should length matching near the location of mismatch. Max Intra-Pair Skew should be about 5 mils

Hi Malik,

Thanks for the reply, but my question is regarding inter-pair matching. Does inter-pair matching need to be performed before and after the redriver?

Hi Marcis,

Sorry misread, interpair skew correction should be done before and after the TUSB1064 since the device will not compensate for skew.
