XIO2001: questions

Part Number: XIO2001

Hello team,

I have some questions for XIO2001 below.

  1. Is there any way to know whether the device power up properly or not? like a power good function in power device.
  2. Datasheet 8.3.8 description mentions "subsystem identification information". What is it? Could you let me know example use case?
  3. XIO2001IZGU is active status in ti.com but we cannot order its sample through ti store. Is it due to the package option is simply out of sample program? or any other reason?

Best regards,

  • 1. The only way to detect that the device works is by enumerating it through the PCIe bus.

    2. The PCI subsystem vendor/product IDs can be used to select a different driver, or to allow the driver to adjust for hardware differences. The XIO2001 implements the standard PCI bridge interface and works with the drivers built into the OS, so changing these IDs should never be necessary.

    3. As far as I know, the MicroStar BGA packages are no longer produced, so these part numbers should not be active.

  • Hi Sato-san,

The ZGU package is not recommended for new designs at this time.  We recommend the customer to use one of the other available packages.

    Regards,
