Request for introduction to interface IC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1574, SN3257-Q1

I'm looking for a device that can switch the signal line of the SD card.
(2: 1 switching, preferably 4 circuits or more)

If you have a switching device specialized for SD memory cards, please introduce it.

  • Hi Kota,

We don't have any SD card specific device per se.

However we do have parts that may fit what you are looking for.

Are you using the SPI or SDIO protocol to access the SD card? Also what speed are you running the SD card bus  at, i.e. what is the datarate you are using to pass data through?

    Best,

  • Dear Dodson-san

Are you using the SPI or SDIO protocol to access the SD card?
    →SDIO.

Also what speed are you running the SD card bus at, i.e. what is the datarate you are using to pass data through?
→It will Correspond to Speed Class 10 and has a Bus speed of 25MBps (50MHz).

    Best regards

  • Hi Kota,

The TMUX1574 is a 4 Channel 2:1 device that has a typical bandwidth of 2GHz which can support this application.

Some other options that may also be used in this scenario:

The SN3257-Q1 - On the parametric table it states that it is 3.3V (Vcc) with a bandwidth of 900 MHz, but this is not correct it can go up to 5.5V for recommended operating supply with a typical bandwidth of 1.2GHz. It is a 2:1 4 Channel Device.

We also have 10 channel 2:1 switches designed for MIPI applications but they still can provide the needed specs to operate in this application. These are the TS5MP645  and the TS5MP646.

    Best,
