DS90UB940-Q1: color space conversion question

Dear team,

There is a note below the picture. I don't understand what it means. That means if the serializer is RGB format, the 940's output must choose YUV format? In my understanding we can choose any format in the table, no matter what mode the input format is. Could you please help explain this note?

Hello Sherry,

The note is saying that if the input is RGB, then it can be converted to any of the formats listed in this table. There are no compatible serializers which can provide YUV or RAW format to 940 as an input instead of RGB

If input is RGB, output can be RGB/YUV/RAW; if input is YUV, output can only be YUV; if input is RAW, output can only be RAW, right?
