We've got the TPS25750EVM and would like to use them as 100W PD source only. We connected a "5A" USB cable but with our PD test tool we get only 5V/9V/15V/20V 3A capability from TPS25750, nor 20V 5A capability. Of course, we selected the 20V/5A capability in the GUI. Is there an additional setting necessary?

By the way I think we found an error in the instructions:

In the eval user guide you write under "5 Setting up the TPS25750EVM as a High Voltage Source":

"Next, use the jumper provided on J3 and shorting pins 2 and 3 together." and "If you would like to source more the 3A from LM3489QMM to the TPS25750, then you will need to add a 0 Ω

resistor to R2." I think, R2 should be in parallel to J3 pins 2 and 3 but R2 is in parallel to pins 1 and 2.

Hi Michael,

Yes, that is a typo on the User's Guide and will be corrected before the release of this device. If you would like to set it to source 5A, you will need to add the 0 ohm resistor to R1.

Hello Hari,

Have you an idea why we don't see the 20V/5A capability? We've bought a 100W wall adapter and with them our PD test tool shows 20V/5A capability.

Hello Michael,

Did you already select the 100W option when prompted with that question on the Application Customization Tool for the TPS25750 as shown in the User's Guide and were you able to successfully flash the project to the device? You may also have to power cycle the EVM to load the new project from the Flash.

If you already did this, could you please provide a PD log showing this behavior?

Hello Hari,

here are screenshots from both TPS25750 project and our wall-adapter. On the upper left corner you see the Source Capabilty in Hex. TPS25750 sends two times the same capabilty. I can send you also the TPS25750 project file if you give me an email address.
