Does TFP410 support 16 bit RGI data support for DVI interface or is it must to use 24 bit RGB data

Hi,

Please find the attached schematics for DVI interface using TFP410. Kindly request you to review the same.

Also please let us know the voltage level of HPD. Will it be 3.3v tolerant or 5V.

Hi Shifali,

Please share a pdf of your schematic. That image is too low res to make out anything.

The HTPLG input is 3.3V tolerant only. HPD on your monitor should be 5V though.

Hi,

Please find the attached PDF document of schematics for review.

Since the Hotplug in the monitor will be 5V and that of IC is 3.3V tolerant, is any level translator required between IC and connector.16_DVI_OUT.pdf

Hi Shifali,

You are missing bypass capacitors on PVDD.

For the HTPLG I believe that is what the 1k series resistor is for.

Also, note that you don't need to use I2C on this device unless you need to use the DE generator. I recommend making all of the configuration pins have pull-up/pull-down options so that you can choose between pin strapping and I2C configuration, and have the pin strapping option as the default.

What should be the value of pullup and pull down resistors.

Also isn't DDC clock and Data required for this IC

You can use 33k.

No, this device does not have an EDID.
