TUSB1002A: Impedance design on the board

Hi team,

Customer is building a NB from AMD platform, they are planning to use TUSB1002A for typeA connector.

May I know Host(CPU side) to TUSB1002a impedance follow AMD design guide(85 ohm) or TUSB1002a(90 ohm)？

TUSB1002a to Type-A connector will follow spec 90 ohm right？

TUSB1002A is target 90 ohm (15%), what is range of AMD system?

Hi Brian：

AMD Lucienne(FP6) PDG show 85 ohm(10%) show as below picture.

85 ohm (10%) => 76.5 ohm ~ 93.5 ohm

90 ohm (15%) => 76.5 ohm ~ 103.5 ohm

AMD's range is 85 ohm(+/- 10%)

so target 85 ohm is better

How about redriver to connector side? it shall be 85 ohm also? or 90 ohm from the spec, is this going to cause impedance discontinuous?

same as 85 ohm +10%
