DS90UB960-Q1: Lock lost

this is not expected behaviour. Normally if you have a good link quality then you should have stable LOCK.

Can you provide 2 register dumps from the 960 for that specific RX port, one dump at the begining and the second dump after 1 day of continous operations, i.e. after seeing the LOCK status changed for few times.

I hit the issue overnight.

Port status at system start-up, after lock is first acquired:

rx_port_sts1 = 0x43
rx_port_sts2 = 0x4

Port status when lock is first lost:

rx_port_sts1 = 0x50
rx_port_sts2 = 0x28

from the two register values you provided, I can see that you are losing LOCK because of some errors. As you can see in reg 0x4E, you have FPD3 Encoder Errors and Packet buffer errors.

To be able to analyse further I would like to get complete register dumps from all registers as described above.
