A customer wants to confirm if the M in MRAM use in TCAN4550 stands for magnetoresistive because it was used in the datasheet as Message RAM.

Hi Danilo,
Good question! No, the "M" stands for "Message" and not magnetoresistive. I certainly understand the confusion, but the RAM memory is volatile and it is stored with an electric charge element.
Therefore MRAM stands for Message Random Access Memory in the context of the TCAN4550.

Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for the clarification. I have submitted a documentation feedback to include the specific type of RAM used in the device in the next revision of the datasheet to avoid further confusions to other customers.
Thanks,
Danilo
