TUSB2036: PWRON pin always HIGH

Hello,

Having trouble with the TUSB2036VFR. The PWRON outputs are all HIGH, preventing me from getting any USB voltage outputs. I can't find any reason why they should be in this state.

Refer to the schematic below.

-There are no short circuits from any of 5V_USB1-3 to ground. These voltage outputs are sitting at about 0.6V to ground.

-All of the overcurrent inputs are HIGH.

-PWRON outputs are HIGH, which turns off the TPS2044BDR outputs.

-RESET pin is HIGH.

The component seems to think there is an overcurrent fault even though none exists?

I have 3 boards that by design should be identical. 1 of them works fine, the other 2 exhibit this problem.

HI Brian,

Does an overcurrent message pop up on the host machine? Can you confirm if the TUSB2036 is being enumerated by the host?

Hi JMMN,

These measurements have all been taken with nothing plugged into the USB port.

The board in question is a carrier board for an embedded PC, so the intended USB devices would just be a mouse, keyboard and maybe a touch screen cable for a monitor. Those devices don't function if I plug them in.

Hi Brian,

The hub won't power on the ports until it is told to do so by the host. Can you check if the host sees that the hub is connected? What os is running?

Your original schematic attachment did not appear, can you resend it?
