DS90UH948-Q1: FPD Link question

Part Number: DS90UH948-Q1

Hi team,

Please check customer questions below, thanks.

-          If this FPD Link is only for ‘’signal’’,  or it will can carry Power together?

If it can carry Power & Signal together,  then how much Power (Voltage/ Current) it can carry on?

-          What our interface will be:

LCD:   LVDS 8lan port

Camera:  MIPI  (RAW data)  or USB (after compressd)

-          What is the FPD Link ‘’bandwidth’’ can achieved?

  • Hi,

The FPD-Link is only the video signal. You can use PoC "power over coax" to have power power the 948. We typically do not see people use this method with the 948, because the power requirements for the 948 + display are typically higher than PoC can provide.

here is an E2E post for more information:

"7.3.1 High-Speed Forward Channel Data Transfer" of the 948 datasheet describes the maximum bandwidth.

    Regards,

    Michael W.

  • - May I know where I can find out below document to identify the bandwidth to achieve with?

"7.3.1 High-Speed Forward Channel Data Transfer" of the 948 datasheet describes the maximum bandwidth.

    - If the TI solution of 948 series can Serializer/ De-serializer the MIPI & LVDS signal too?

    thanks

    Alan

  • Hi,

The 948's max bandwidth per lane is 192 MHz Pclk in dual mode or 96 MHz Pclk in single.

The 947 can serialize OLDI (LVDS) data and send it to the 948. the 941AS can serialize DSI data and end it to a 948.

    Regards,

    Michael W.
