DS90UH949A-Q1: DS90UB949A and DS90UH948 compatibility

I've analyzed the related datasheets, and I 've not found which is the natural counterpart of the DS90UB949A: DS90UH948 partially does it, up to 192 MHz rather than 210 MHz, and up to 2048x1080 instead of 2880x1080.

Furthermore, the DS90UB949A datasheet describes an application where 949A is used with 948 and a 2880x1080 LVDS display, please refer to page 1, https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ds90ub949a-q1.pdf?ts=1601044231682&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FDS90UB949A-Q1%253FkeyMatch%253DDS90UB949A%2526tisearch%253DSearch-EN-everything%2526usecase%253DGPN.

May anyone confirrm if DS90UH948 fully supports DS90UB949A, please?

    Hi,

    The 948 supports the 949A. Since the 948s max PCLK is lower than the 949A's 210 MHz pclk then the 948's 192 MHz PCLK would be the limiting factor. The 948 can support 2880x1080 @ 60 FPS, because 2880x1080x60 = 186.6 MHz pclk which is less than the 192MHz max pclk.
