PCIxx12 integrated Flash Media Driver

Hi Team, 

We received a query from customer asking about PCIxx12 integrated Flash Media Driver. For me to not miss any information from customer, I will copy the query below.

Please can you confirm if the Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller driver Software is common to other Computer Manufacturers, i.e. Toshiba or Dell for example if this is case and the Chipset performs a specific task within the Laptop Computer as this is a Flash Media Controller for USB Memory Sticks and SD cards the wouldn’t the driver software be common for the Chipset for every Manufacturer of Computers.
Would firmware that is not installed on the Laptop Computer affect the installation of the Driver software functioning in the Windows 19 operating software system ?
