Hi There,

              I have some design consideration on TUSB9261 as blew:

1.  Can TUSB9261 left USB 2.0 signal as floating<Motherboard On Board Design>?any side effect or function can't work?(ex: flash firmware or compatibility issues)

2. I want to double check the SATA trace routing impedance is 100 ohm +/-15% is correct ?

3. Is the reset goes high after power (VDD33 & VDD11) stable at least 2ms?

4. Can TUSB9261 use Winbond W25X10CLSNIG for eeprom?

5. Which firmware version can support SATA led function?

6. How can I tune the SATA signal?

7. Can the TUSB9261 setting the USB3.0 signal RX signal EQ?

    Hi,

    Please see my comments below.

    1.USB 2 cannot be left unconnected while only USB3 is connected. This violates USB spec and is not recommended.

    2. Yes, SATA trace impedance is 100 ohm. I recommend using +/-10% limits.

    3. This is correct. This can be achieved with a simple RC circuit. 

    4. TUSB9261 has not been tested this specific EEPROM. You should ensure the following restrictions are meet.

      • EEPROM Requirements:
        • Supports SPI Mode 0.
        • Supports fixed 18.75 MHz SPI clock..
        • Use a word size of 8 bits and an address length of 24 bits.
        • Must allow 256 bytes to be written in one operation.
        • A minimum flash size of 512 kbits (64 k x 8) is recommended.
        • Support the following OP codes:

    5. Current FW supports LED operation as described in section 7.3.1.3 GPIO/PWM LED Designations of the datasheet. LEDs are operated form GPIO pins.

    6. Unfortunately the SATA signal performance cannot be tuned.

    7. TUSB9261 does have USB 3 RX EQ is adaptive and is configured automatically.

                  Does the TUSB9261 have Linux Kernel 5.4.45 driver ?

    Hi,

    TUSB9261 works with the default USB (UASP & BOT) drivers in Linux.
