TCAN1043G-Q1: Minimum Data Rate Limitation

Hi Team,

My customer has used the TCAN1043G-Q1, and normal data rate is 500kbps. However, there are cases where the TCAN1043G-Q1 is used at 250kbps.

Are there any minimum limitation of data rate for the TCAN1043G-Q1?

If the TCAN1043G-Q1 cannot be used at 250kbps, please let me know the reason or items related to the minimum data rate.

Section 10.3.7.1 of the datasheet says:

The minimum transmitted data rate may be calculated by: Minimum Data Rate = 11 bits / t_{TXD_DTO} = 11 bits / 1.2 ms = 9.2 kbps.

Ninomiya-san,

As Clemens said, the minimum bit rate on the TCAN1043-Q1 transceiver is 9.2kbps based on the dominant timeout feature. The device will function perfectly fine at 250kbps.
