TL16C550D: Several questions

Part Number:

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TL16C550D?

<Question1>
What is the difference between TL16C550D and TL16C550DI?
Just the difference about TA range?

<Question2>
/ADS pin, the customer use it with fixed low.
In case of /ADS pin=low, we recognize that it is possible to control A0, A1, and A2 and CS0, CS1, and CS2 drive the directly.
However, in case of /ADS pin=high, what situation is it used for?

<Question3>
MR pin, this pin should set to reset in case of start-up, right?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

    Hi all

    Would you mind if we ask TL16C550D?

    <Question1>

    [Bobby] Yes, only the operating temperature range of the device is different.

    <Question2>
    /ADS pin, the customer use it with fixed low.
    In case of /ADS pin=low, we recognize that it is possible to control A0, A1, and A2 and CS0, CS1, and CS2 drive the directly.
    However, in case of /ADS pin=high, what situation is it used for?

    [Bobby] I believe the ADS pin controls when the address and CS pins are sampled. If you wanted to make sure the address and CS pins are correctly strobed into the device you would bring ADS HIGH and then change the address and CS pins before bringing ADS back low.

    <Question3>
    MR pin, this pin should set to reset in case of start-up, right?

    [Bobby] I believe it is best practice to reset the device after power up so I would recommend this.

    Kind regards,
