AM26LS31: AM26LS31 alternate part with Thermal protection feature

Hello,

I am using above mentioned Driver IC P/N AM26LS31 in my design. But the thing is that it dont have short circuit protection capability and tha max current its mentioned in datasheet is 150mA in <1sec range. can you please suggest me an alternate part with short circuit protection (Thermal protection) component with the similar specifications in Quad and Dual differential line driver IC?

Bhargav,

AM26C31 is a newer device to replace AM26LS31A, which doesn't have the 1 sec limit on the Ios current.

Hello Hao,

Thank you for the response. Is there any device which consists of seperate enable signal for Driver input 1 and 2, enable signal for 3 and 4 with short circuit protection in industrail grade? Please suggest.

As I see in your response, the new device has no 1sec lint but is it thermally protected?
