TPS25750: Information, application notes, release date.

Hello,

Can some one give me more information about this product. I'm planing to use it my design but the information about it is not enough. The datasheet is not full. Can you tell me when is planing to be released. Is there away you can control the switches for source and sink mode from the MCU. Can we change the working states ( source, sink dual role) dynamic. Is there a way to enable and disable it. Also can we see the I2C register to configure it or you can configure it only with an external eeprom. Also there is a difference between the schematic in the datasheet and the schematic in the EVM. Which one is right ?

    There are a lot of questions here so I will do my best to answer them all

    1. Can you tell me when is planning to be released

    The current timeline for the TPS25750 to be released alongside all of its final documentation is middle of November 

    2. Is there away you can control the switches for source and sink mode from the MCU

    Yes, this functionality will be enabled and explained within the host interface technical reference manual that will be released middle of November 

    3.  Can we change the working states ( source, sink dual role) dynamic.

    Yes, this functionality will be enabled and explained within the host interface technical reference manual that will be released middle of November 

    4. Is there a way to enable and disable the switches

    Yes, this functionality will be enabled and explained within the host interface technical reference manual that will be released middle of November 

    5. Also can we see the I2C register to configure it or you can configure it only with an external eeprom.

    You will still need to load the configuration generated by the GUI, but instead of using an EEPROM, you can use an external embedded controller to upload this flash image over the I2C lines. This will also be outlined within the host interface technical reference manual that will be released middle of November 

    6. Also there is a difference between the schematic in the datasheet and the schematic in the EVM, which one is right?

    The schematic in the datasheet is closer to the final design. There have been some changes in the definition of the TPS25750 since the preliminary datasheet was released, but the schematic in the datasheet is closer to the final than the schematic on the EVM
