TPS65988: FTDI Adapter for I2C Programming

Hi,

We are developing a board using TPS65988 and TPS65987. I have seen many have faced issues in choosing FTDI adapter modules.

Can you please suggest which one to use for the SPI Flash programming using I2C?

Hello,

I would suggest the TM4C123GH6PM. This is what we use for our new EVMs and it is compatible with our GUI.

Hi Emma,

But in the TPS65988EVM that I have has only an FTDI Chipset based design. FT4232HL is the chipset used. Can you suggest something similar to this also ?

Hello,

You are still looking for an FTDI adapter that is not the FT4232HL in this case, is that correct? Our EVMs use either the FT4232HL or the TM4C123GH6PM. Otherwise I would highly recommend the TIVA adapter, which is featured on some of our other EVMs outside of the TPS65988EVM.

Yes you can absolutely still use the FT4232HL FTDI adapter.
