Hi Expert,

I have a few questions about TPS65988 register. Hope I could get the answer from you.

1. All the register value can be read through GUI tool. Does the customer have the access to read the dynamic register value through I2C by MCU? (Such as read the capabilities registers 0x32, 0x33 registers)

2. After CC negotiated successfully, the PD current and voltage should be locked to certain value. Which register will the current and voltage data stored？

Hello,

1. Yes the the PD Controller provides a slave I2C port to interface to a host. Please check out the TPS65987DDH and TPS65988DH Host Interface Technical Reference Manual for more details about the registers and ways the PD controller can act as a slave port.

2. The source capabilities register is register 0x32 and the sink capabilities register is 0x33. For more information on these registers, check out the Host Interface, which details their values.
