SN65HVDA100-Q1: Question for SN65HVDA100-Q1 to work with 115200bps data rate

Hi Team,

Our customer wants to check if our SN65HVDA100-Q1 can work with 115200bps data rate for LIN/UART communication or not, can you help to check it? If not, do we have the alternative device to support it?

    The LIN specification does not allow more than 20 kbit/s (on a 40 m bus). This device might allow a higher rate if the bus load is lower.

    What is the maximum distance between the devices? Is this an automotive application? Is it required to use the LIN physical layer?

    Jacky,

    To add on to Clemens comments, the SN65HVDA100-Q1 physical layer transceiver is only capable of up to 40kbps transmit and receive, and no higher. Our newer LIN transceivers, the TLIN102x-Q1 family, can transmit up to 40kbps and receive up to 100kbps.

    In the near future, our LIN transceivers will be able to support 100kbps transmit and receive, with an additional fast mode to allow for up to 200kbps transmit and receive.
