Hi, team:

I am design a dongle used TPS65987DDH. The dongle is provide power source for the notebook. The dongle can support 5V/9V/15V/20V voltage and max power is 20V/5A.

We configurate SPI Flash FW for TPS65987DDH internal power path and FW is OK( can normally Charge my notebook)。

Now we want to use External Power Path but we don't know how to configurate SPI Flash FW setting, can you provide the detail step.

Hello,

So to control the external power path you need to use the GPIOs as detailed in Section 8.3.3 of the datasheet. In addition, the EVM for the TPS65987 has an example of how to configure the external power path on page 11 using a GPIO from the TPS device on page 10. You have to program the GPIO in the firmware to enable the external power path.

Hi, team:

I know program GPIO (GPIO16) to enable the external power path, but it is fail and GPIO16 is no active.

I don't know my firmware is right or not，please help to check the attaachment for the pjt file.

How do you know the GPIO16 is not being driven? Can you set it in the firmware and measure the voltage on the pin?
