Hi Team,

May I ask about the function of Rbias for DP83822I and if I can change its value to 4.9kohm? It's written in the datasheet that Rbias must be 4.87k with 1% tolerance.

I see from the other E2E threat you said that DP83822 is "current mode line driver and uses the RBIAS for its current mirror", would you please explain more about the current mirror function?

    Hello Livia,

    We recommend to use datasheet limits. This resistance value decides internal bias currents and deviation from the recommended value may make electrical specs on some parts out of the IEEE specs.

    4.9K is within the 1% limit but as it will have variation and it may go out of datasheet recommendation.
