Dear All,

We are looking for Alternate part to TL16C752BPT Dual UART from TI.  i found two equivalent parts from TI web, from one of the TI rep assigned to me is not yet confirmed those are alternate part & Availability for next 5 to 8 yrs. I was keep on asking him from last 2 weeks

Recommended part should be pin-pin compatible, should not require any additional SW changes ( even without any register modification), its required for Legacy design on Aerospace products @ US.

We require around 100K+ & it should be available for next 5 to 8 yrsK & 10Lac

 Kindly suggest alternate part with datasheet to check technical facility.

    Hi Anantha,

    The EP version of the 752B is probably the best solution in terms of this requirement: "Recommended part should be pin-pin compatible, should not require any additional SW changes"

    The only other device would be the 752D however it may require software changes due to the additional features of the device, the way to access some of the registers were slightly modifed.

    In terms of life time availability of a device, this is a bit more tricky to find an answer for. This question may need to be sent to our marketing team to provide input.
