Hello, Team,

I have a question about alias settings of DS90UB947-Q1.

When using a slave alias, do we have to configure settings other than Slave Alias [0] and Slave ID[0]?
When not using Slave Alias [1~7] and Slave ID [1~7], can we leave it to be default? Or do we have to change it to particular value?

Hello Masaru,

1) just define Slave Alias and Slave ID. Thats all.

2) Just leave it untouched!

When we want to access multiple remote I2C slaves, do we also have to change the pass-through settings?
Also, what happens if we use the same slave alias for a multiple slave IDs?

Yes, for communicating remotely from DES to SER to slaves, you need to enable Pass-through.

It makes no sense to use the same slave aliases for multiple IDs. Aliases are there mainly to be used if you have identical IDs, to prevent wrong communications.
