Hi team,

Customer use DS954 pare with DS953 for e-mirror application. They tested the MAP and the results are as below. The ALP configuration is as below. The left hand side one is tested by a 2 meters coax. The right hand side one is 6 meters coax. it seems strange, is that a testing issue?  if yes, what may cause this issue?

    Hi Terry,

    The results isn't expected. Typically you would see a solid green area, instead of random red boxes appearing in the middle of the green area.

    I would suggest checking the following:

    - What is the cable type? Typically we suggest DACAR302 or DACAR 462.

    - Are they using sync or non sync mode. If they are using sync mode, what does the back channel look like?

    - Does the oscillator meet the datasheet requirements?

    - Do TDR or s-parameter measurements on the boards.

    - Try a different serializer/deserializer. If you have EVMs, does it show similar results when you use a 953 EVM with the customer 954 system? What about 954 EVM with a customer 953 system?
