LMH1219: IN0/1 and OUT0/1 mux issue

Part Number: LMH1219

Hi, all

We have an issue with LMH1219 IN0/1 and OUT0/1 mux.

Here we set CTLE Page 0x31=3F to declare it is controlled by internal register.

Then we set CTLE Page 0x90=20, 0x1C=98, 0x 1E=29, 0x31=23 to let it input with IN1 and out put with OUT0 and OUT1;

Cable EQ Page 0x30=2A, 0x31=41, 0x32=2A, 0x33=41.

Test data rate is 11.88Gpbs on IN1.

It's very strange that OUT0 can normally output signal, but OUT1 cannot. Only when we connect the pin IN_OUT_SEL to high voltage with all the other hardware control pin float, OUT1 and OUT0 can both work well.

  • Greetings,

    Please note LMH1219 programming guide(SNLU187C) section 3.7.4. I believe you may not be setting reg 0x3F[4]. This section of the programming guide specifies register settings to enable IN1 to OUT0 and OUT1.

  • Greetings,

    Could you please confirm if you have LMH1219 programming guide? Using these settings we are able to to enable both OUT0 and OUT1 . Your settings above are not the same as recommended register settings. We need to make sure you are using settings noted in the programming guide for this and other operations.

    Regards,, Nasser

  • Hi, Nasser

    I will re check the register with the programming guide and feed back to you later.
