TPS65988: Asking for TPS6598's 4CC command DISC !CMD

Hi Team,

Customer would like to cut the power source one MCU get the trigger signal for protection. MCU need to send 4CC command "DISC" to TPS65988.

However, customer feedback the 4CC command "DISC" is !CMD. customer can do GSrC and SSrC commands well.

Would you please provide comment on how to do the "DISC" 4CC command? is there any other suggestion except sending "DISC"?

Here is the I2C analyzer for "DISC" command, the result is !CMD. customer also captured GSrC 4CC command for comparison, the result is 0000.

1. send 4CC command "DISC"

2. get "!CMD" after sending "DISC"

3.send 4CC command "GSrC"

4.get "0000" after sending "GSrC"

there is no DISC command in 65988 Application CustomizationTool .

Hello,

If you check your 0x03 Mode register, is it in APP mode? The Modal 4CC commands will only be successful in this mode.

Also, do you send anything to the Data1 register?

for other 4CC command, it is workable. so it is in APP mode. do you think that make sense?
