Hi,

my customer is using LT9211 for one MIPI DSI to dual LVDS bridge to communicate with 1920*1080 screen.

And it seems that our most suitable part is SN65DSI84, right?

But we have only SN65DSI83EVM or SN65DSI85EVM, no 84.

Should I apply for SN65DSI83EVM or SN65DSI85EVM? And then replace the part with SN65DSI84?

Can I evaluate with SN65DSI85 by using only one MIPI DSI port and leave the other MIPI DSI port unconnected to configure it the same as SN65DSI84?

    Hi Howard,

    Yes you can just use the SN65DSI85 and configure it for single DSI to dual LVDS. These devices all share the same die, with the only difference being that the SN65DSI84 and SN65DSI83 have some pins that are internally not connected to anything so as to disable features that only the SN65DSI85 has.
