Part Number: TUSB8044A

We need to connect four USB devices, each way is 250MB/S,(a total of 1GB/S). Is TUSB8044A supported?

  • Hi,

The TUSB8044A supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gb/s) operation.   Is 250 MB/s per device the maximum throughput for each device or the standard throughput?   The USB hub does not schedule the packet transfers, the USB host will set the pace of the accesses to the various devices downstream of the hub.

  • Hi,

250MB per device is maxim throughput.I want to know,if the host is fast enough , how many down streams can TUSB8044A  ensure throughput (250MB per device)?

  • Hi,

In our lab testing, the  bandwidth is limited by the single port connection to host.  The hub will slightly improve throughput due to the ability to buffer, however, we cannot guarantee throughput since the hub doesn't generate the transfers or determine overhead.
