SN65DSI84: PLL_UNLOCK error

Part Number: SN65DSI84

HI Ann,

Customer's board is using SN65DSI84 for MIPI to LVDS bridge and it works with LG LVDS panel, function is okay.

Altough LVDS panel is okay to show screen, we found IRQ will triggered successively when we initialize SN65DSI84 during system boots up. Trigger event is all about PLL_UNLOCK(0XE5[0]. Situation will be removed after 20s system boots up. We would want to know if there is any method to fix this PLL_UNLOCK interrupt? Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Ann Lien

  • Hi Ann,

Please ensure to clear the 0xE5 register before reading from it.

Also, the PLL_UNLOCK error is known to be oversensitive. This is why the last steps in the initialization sequence are optional. If the error persists the only way to fix it is to decrease jitter on the DSI CLK or use a clean REFCLK as the PLL source.

    Regards,

    I.K.
