TCA9548A-Q1: TCA9548A-Q1 Reset Behavior

Part Number: TCA9548A-Q1

Hi team,

If the RESET pin on TCA9548A-Q1 is asserted low and stays low indefinitely, does the device remain operable (i.e. does it reset normally)? My customer is considering a system condition where a GPIO failure that causes them to lose control of the reset pin leaving it in a low state.

Thanks,

Emma

  • Hi Emma,

If the #RESET is held low, then the device will be held in the reset state. In this state, the secondary channels will all be disabled AND any communication to the device will no longer work (the device will NACK its address).

    Thanks,

    -Bobby
