DS90UB954-Q1: VDDIO power up slew rate

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

hello, The 954 datasheet specifies the VDDIO slew rate of 10% to 90% minimum 0.2ms but in my customer design, the time is 0.096ms, which is bit shorter than minimum requirement.

1. is this absolutely NG?

2. what could happen if the slew rate is shorter than 0.2ms?

3. what is background of this spec? why this is specified?

  • Hello Ito,

The minimum rise time is required to insure all internal cicuits have properly powered up during the boot sequence. If the ramp time is faster than specified, some internal circuits may not power up into the correct state.

Hence, please ensure that the datasheet recommendation of >0.2ms rise time is used for this rail. Anything outside of the datasheet recommendations has not been validated and may cause unpredictable behavior.
