Hi Team

Customer is  looking for SN65176BDR p2p solution.

I suggested SN65HVD75 for them reference.

But the driver function is different in datasheet.

So I want to double check with you.

Are their driver functions the same?(SN65176BDR & SN65HVD75)

    Hi Jimmy,

    While both of these parts are compatible with other devices that meet the RS-485 standard, there are slight differences between these two parts' drive capabilities. The main difference to note is the differential output voltage. Because SN65HVD75 is supplied by 3.3V Vcc, it is expected to output a smaller differential than the SN65176B which is powered by 5V Vcc. 

    The newer version of SN65176B we currently recommend is THVD1520 as can be seen on SN65176B's product page. This device offers pin to pin compatibility with improved integrated ESD protection.
