TPS65988EVM: FTDI connection Fail when using TPS65981_2_6_7_8 Application Customization 6.1.1 tool

Part Number:

Hi TI Teams,

I tried to connect the customization application tool with my TPS65988EVM via FTDI,

When I execute "sweep I2C Address range for device response", always fail and pop up the message below:

And I have confirm the driver install of my computer is success already:

Below I also attach my EVB setting for your reference,

1. Could you get me a hint why I always connect EVB with NB fail via FTDI?

2. Does this EVB support TIVA interface also? How to setup it?

I am looking forward to your reply!

Thanks,

Best regards,

Ken

  • Hi,

Have you tried using a different USB cable and also the other USB ports on your notebook? Sometimes a COM port could be interfering with the Config Tool. You could also double check to see if you have the latest drivers.

Alternatively, yes you could use either a TIVA board or an Aardvark programmer as well. You would simply need to just connect the ground and I2C pins to the same port that the Flash is connected to.

    Thank you,

    Hari

  • Hi Hari,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

This issue will be solved when connect with the other notebook.

    Thanks and best regards,
