There's isn't a reference design with that application. However, if you want the PD controller to behave as a Legacy device, you may Disable USB PD in 0x29 Control Configurations register.
Are you looking for a Type-C controller only without PD capabilities since you don't want to use CC pins?

I think you were referring to PD Mode = Legacy USB Host/Source in your previous message. Where can I find the complete register description for this part? I could not find any reference to "Legacy USB Host" or 0x29 in the datasheet...
