Addon question:

Is there an easy way to implement a SPE hub or switch into a measurement module or is this always done via external switch?

Hi Stefan,

I am not clear on your meaning for host interface... if you are referrring to MCU, then both SPE and standard PHY suitable for EtherCAT offers MII/RMII to connect to MCU..

SPE PHYs offers standard MAC interface and can be connected to any host offering the MAC i/f.
