Hi,

We got the board now with DP83869 connected phy. We integrated the driver code provided for 4.14 kernel version. The driver is giving oops error. I added aneg ( auto negotiation function ) to generic phy auto negotiation function but got the anogher oops.

Kindly suggest.

I've attached the compile tested DP83869 driver backported for kernel v4.14. Please note we only compile test the backported drivers and do not perform functional tests before sharing them.

Hi Nagesh,

It seems that when this error occurs it means the PHY lost MDIO access somehow either from being held low in reset or just powered off. Can you provide a schematic?
