Hi Team,

Is there a requirement to have a REFCLK Oscillator that supports Spread-spectrum clock modulation?

Is spread-spectrum considered a feature of the 936 that can be turned on/off? Or is spread-spectrum generated by the selected oscillator if a customer desires to use an oscillator that is capable of spread spectrum?

Hi Jared,

The 936 will require the REFCLK to be SSC. You can refer to page 9 of the datasheet to see the SSC requirements.

Do you mean that if a user wants to implement SSC, then the REFCLK must be SSC because the 936 device does not have a SS feature integrated, correct?
