Hi team,

As my customer is going to use DS90UB936-Q1, they are looking for the required test setup and test software to validate FPD-Link in 936 design.

Can this app note be used for 936 design FPD-Link III compliance testing?

They are also thinking to get a serializer EVM that will work with 954EVM, would DS90UB913A-CXEVM work?

Hi Connie,

The concepts mentioned in the EMC app note should apply to the 936.

The 936 is compatible with many serializer. It is best to select a serializer EVM based on the camera requirement. For example, if it's a 2MP CSI-2 camera, the customer can use a DS90UB935-Q1 EVM.

From what I can tell, there is no DS90UB935-Q1 EVM. Is that correct?

Do we have any TI software tool, test setup, and FPD-Link III SerDes channel requirement to validate FPD-LINK III in my customer's design?

They were able to watch some video from FPD-Link Learning Center, but couldn't find the actual FPD-LINK III compliance requirement in physical level.

Is there any FPD-Link III SerDes in depth channel requirement app note?

Hi Connie,

You can use a 953EVM and populate it with a 935 unit. The 953 and 935 are pin-to-pin compatible.
