DS90UB954-Q1: Lose MIPI data after lock re-established

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Dear team,

Customer use our FPDlink(953/954) in their Application.

We faced to an random issue about lose MIPI data after Lock re-established.

I have dump 953/954 register, only 954 have been reset to default since LOCK drop. But after LOCK resume to high, the MIPI data is missing even 953 is working fine.

According to datasheet, video data resume forwarding after Lock go high.

May I learn from you which items I have to check first?

954 datasheet description->

"If the deserializer loses LOCK, the receiver will reset and perform the LOCK algorithm again to reacquire the serial data stream sent by the serializer. The receive port will truncate video frames containing errors and resume forwarding the video when LOCK is re-established."

Regards,

Ben

  • Hi Ben,

When you say MIPI data is missing, do you mean the 953 stops forwarding even after LOCK restores? Or 953 starts forwarding but there are missing packets? Are the missing packets you're referring the packets sent when lock was lost?

    Best,

  • Hi Jiashow,

953 starts forwarding but there are missing packets.

Our goal is video resume after lock re-established. The missing data during lock drop can be ignored.

BTW, we have double confirm the power supply of 954. And no voltage drop at each supply rail of 954.

    Regards,

    Ben

  • Hi Ben,

In registers 0x6D and 0x7C on the deserializer, there are bits you can set to discard packets with errors. Can you make sure all of these are turned off?

Are you seeing any CSI errors on the 953/954? Is there any pattern to the packets that are missing?

    Best,

    Jiashow
