DS90UB948-Q1: 948/927 back channel line rate

Hi team,

one question about 948/927. in the 948 d/s, the back channel line rate can support 5 Mbps and 20 Mbps, while for 927, back channel is only support 10Mbps.

how to make the them compatible? or they are can not bidirectional communication?

in addtional, for 921/948, 921 back channel data rate is 4.4 Mbps in high frequency STP mode. So,in order to compatible 921, we need set 948 back channel line rate to 5Mbps, right?

    Hi,

    From the 948's datasheet "The back channel frequency must be set to 5 Mbps when paired with a DS90UB925Q-Q1, DS90UB925AQ-Q1, or DS90UB927Q-Q1." The 927 and the 948 are compatible and the bidirectional communication will work between the two. The 921 is compatible with the 948 but has the same backchannel setting requirement as the 927.
