I want to control the power limit of each USB Type-C port of TPS65988 with an external MCU (I2C or GPIO).

Which register should I access?

    Hello,

    You can control the Sink PDO settings with Register 0x33 and the Source PDO Settings with Register 0x32. Please refer to the "TPS65987DDH and TPS65988DH Host Interface Technical Reference Manual." These registers will allow the maximum sink/source power from the desired negotiated contracts.
