TPS25750: External EEPROM Questions

Part Number: TPS25750

Hello,

I am a current FAE here at TI. My customer is using the TPS25750.

They would like to know about the external EEPROM.

Their system is configured as a sink only. Do you think the external EEPROM will be necessary? Please also elaborate on what the main purpose of the external EEPROM is and what content usually is pre-programed into the EEPROM. Thanks.

Regards

  • Cal,

The external EEPROM is necessary to store configuration information as well as code patches for the part.

In most systems, the EEPROM will be programmed with configuration data and the current patch code in the factory during programming.

The EEPROM code is generated by a web gui program is located at
