Is there any way to put the TCAN4420 into silent mode?

Henrik,

No, this device only has normal and polarity switched mode. There is a protected state but this only occurs during an under voltage event.

Ok,

If MCU triggers TXD Dominant Time Out I suspect i will fall into some kind of "Silent mode"?

Henrik,

In the case of TXD dominant timeout, the CAN bus driver is disabled until a recessive edge is seen by the TXD pin. So yes, it will technically be silent, but as soon as a recessive edge is seen the device will be able to transmit to the CAN bus again.
