DS90UB940N-Q1: PASS low issue

The PASS pin can be monitored only when you have the BISTEN enable. Did you check if you have this pin set HIGH?

The BISTEN is disabled because this pin set LOW. I can't understand that there is an issue on configuration only of DS90UB927-Q1 and DS90UB940N-Q1.

Your intended question is regarding to the PASS pin. I am trying to explain to you that the PASS pin will be always low unless you have the BISTEN enable which you had confirmed that this pin is always low. Therefore, this PASS pin will always be LOW.

Based on your description, it looks like you are having trouble getting the video output across the link. Can you help me verify the following items below?

1. Did you try to get the patgen output from 940 to the display?
2. If step 1 is successful, did you try to get the patgen from 927 -> 940?
3. Once you confirmed step 1 and step 2 successfully, then you can start end-end testing.

But according to the datasheet, PASS pin is set HIGH when BISTEN is disabled and fault condition is occurred.
