We are using DP83867E for 1Gbps and 100 Mbps both to standardise the design. We are using RGMII and SGMII both for various application. Following is my question:
1) Can we use only 4 signal of MDI for 100 Mbps leaving other 4 signal NC i.e. TD_P_A, TD_M_A, TD_P_B, TD_M_B, So that only 4 core CAT5E cable can be used as physical media. This facility is present in Marvel or Realtek PHY?
