DS90UB953-Q1: CSI-2 input, Continuous clock /non-continuous clock

Part Number: DS90UB953-Q1

hello,

when CSI2 clock mode is change from non-continuous to continuous, is there any possibility to cause some effect to the image? such as flicker or image or noise?  If yes, do you have any recommendation for avoiding it?

I am asking this to check if there is any steps required like 954 side. on 954 side CSI2 transmitter should be disabled  before changing forwarding is enabled/disabled.

  • Ito,

Generally, the csi2 clock mode should be set correctly before you formally transmit the video data.

For 953 case, the csi2 clock mode is changed, the link could have potential flicker issue, but it doesn't means that every time it has flicker. From Ti viewpoint, we don't recommend any change during the normal operation.

    regarsd,

    Steven
