Hi,

How close should TVS2200 be placed at TPS65994/VBUS pin?  Does it need to be very close?  What is the side effect if it's placed close to the type-c connector instead of TPD65994/VBUS pin?

    Hi Antony,

    Yes, TVS2200 should be placed very close to TPS65994/VBUS pin to prevent the internal switch from being damaged by surge voltage/ current.

    If it placed close to type-c connector, it might not protect the device. Therefore, we strongly recommend that use TVS2200 to protect the internal switch and it should be placed near the VBUS pin.
